Our Story
Moore Diagnostic Laboratory, Inc. was established in 2020 during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. We saw the critical and urgent need to service our community and responded with efficient and accurate COVID-19 testing. Performing thousands of tests, we are proud of our contributions made to fight the pandemic, educate the community and help everyone stay safe and informed during this turbulent time. As our communities are returning to post COVID-19 normalcy, the need for testing has significantly declined. This has allowed us to focus on another passion- Veterinary Laboratory Diagnostics. Our commitment and dedication remains strong as we strive to help keep our companion animals/pets healthy!

Our Team
The MDL Team consists of board-certified laboratory professionals with over 20 years of experience in veterinary laboratory testing and management. We prioritize a customer-centric approach, ensuring comprehensive and reliable veterinary laboratory diagnostics. We are dedicated to providing rapid turnaround times without compromising on quality. Courier Service
Pick-up service is available twice daily to ensure faster turnaround times. Schedule online before 11am for the afternoon pickup and before 6pm for the evening pickup. Please consult your ‘New Client Set-Up Form’ for your estimated pick-up times. Restrictions apply.
FedEx Service
At MDL, we believe that WHERE you are should not affect the quality of care offered to your patients. Some clients need or prefer to use our mail-in service, so we also offer Overnight Federal Express service for your convenience. This service includes free pick-up via FedEx. Restrictions apply.
Supplies
Most supplies needed to collect and submit specimens are provided at no charge to MDL clients. The quantity supplied is based on the usage and volume of tests submitted. Supplies can be obtained by ordering online or calling Client Support at (678) 540-6620 or emailing orders@mooredl.com . Additionally, couriers are provided with limited emergency supplies. Please allow 24-48 hours for delivery of supplies.
Supplies for in-office testing may be purchased at discount rates through MDL. Please contact your dedicated Account Representative for more information.
​Sharps Disposal (Mobile Vets Only)
As an added bonus, MDL will dispose of your sharps containers. Simply select YES under "Sharps Pickup?" when you schedule a pickup and your courier will collect it. You can also mail your sharps containers to the laboratory for disposal.


Test Requisitions
Tests can be ordered online using our cloud-based web portal or via a hard copy Test Requisition Form. Fillable hard copies can printed from our website or requested by emailing orders@mooredl.com.

Specimen Collection & Quality
Patient results are only as good as the specimen submitted. Every effort should be made to submit quality samples and properly completed/filled out Test Requisition Forms. MDL is continuously evaluating new techniques to enhance the accuracy of tests performed on non-optimal specimens. It is the policy of the laboratory to produce valid results on all tests ordered.

Quality Control & Assurance
Maintaining superior quality requires that our clients’ laboratory needs and their confidence in our ability to serve those needs be held in the highest regard. Achieving this objective requires extensive training, professionalism, attention to and emphasis on detail, teamwork, collaboration, innovation and the dedication of the entire MDL staff.

MDL has developed a robust and comprehensive Quality Assurance/ Quality Control Program specific to veterinary laboratory medicine that continuously monitors, measures, and improves the pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical phases of the process. The program includes standardized operations, operating procedures, equipment and annual inspections. The instrumentation, methodologies and procedures have been selected and developed to provide the most accurate results for species specific testing. ​
Result Reporting & TAT
Results from MDL are provided by phone, fax, email, or the Web Portal. Abnormal results are routinely rechecked and verified before they are reported. Critical and/or markedly abnormal results are called to the clinician (or designee). Most test results are reported within 24 hours. Some tests may require repeat or additional testing which can extend the turn around time. Please refer to the Test Info page for TATs.

Add-Ons
All Add-On tests must accompany a profile/panel in order to receive the discounted price. Additional tests ordered after a test has been submitted to the laboratory will be charged at the normal individual test fee. Rechecks
You may request a recheck at no additional charge by calling Client Support at (678) 540-6620 or emailing orders@mooredl.com.

Consultations
Where other laboratories charge for advice, MDL provides our customers with comprehensive consultation services at no additional charge. We offer free consultations on tests that you have submitted to MDL for testing. You can request a consultation by calling Client Support at (678) 540-6620 or emailing orders@mooredl.com.​

Cancellations
There is no charge to cancel a test or tests If you are able to contact the lab BEFORE testing has begun. You can request a test be cancelled by calling Client Support at (678) 540-6620 or emailing orders@mooredl.com.​
